In a delightful twist that began with a broken soda fountain in Kansas, ICEEs have burst into our hearts (and stomachs) for an astonishing 60 years. To commemorate this journey, over 1,800 locations will be giving away free small ICEEs for the first-ever National ICEE Day—a day meant to evoke joy and nostalgia for both kids and adults alike.

What You Need to Know About National ICEE Day

On this special day, fans of all ages can flock to participating locations to grab their free treat; however, some terms apply. For instance, it’s essential to note that specific popular venues, like Universal Studios and Six Flags, won’t be participating. But fear not! If you're in Florida, venues like AMC Theaters and Walmart Fuel Offer will be serving up the ice-cold drinks.

Sharing the Fun: Contests and Giveaways

Not only can you enjoy this refreshing drink but you also have a chance to win exciting prizes! Share your ICEE experience on social media using the tag @TheICEECompany and the hashtag #NID2026 for a chance to win an At-Home ICEE Machine. Just imagine creating delicious ICEE treats at home for summer parties!

A Day for All: Memories to Make

Dan Fachner, CEO of ICEE’s parent company, emphasizes that National ICEE Day isn’t just about the drink; it’s about celebrating moments shared with family and friends over the years. While kids are racing to grab their icy delight, parents are reminded of summer days spent together, making the day about more than just free treats—it's about connection and fun.

How to Join the Celebration

If you’re wondering where to nab your complimentary ICEE, participating locations are ample across Florida. You'll need an admission ticket for places like Urban Air Trampoline Parks or AMC Theaters, and for Walmart, you can simply walk in and grab yours free—no purchase necessary!

So, whether you're at the movies or enjoying a fun day out at a trampoline park, don’t miss out on this chance to celebrate National ICEE Day. Get ready to indulge a sweet treat that has warmed many hearts for generations!
